Flesh. Eyes. Pride.

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." 1 John 2:16

I ponder this in the sense of not being a rebuke, but instead being a factual understanding of our current hybrid human homo sapien mammal scenario.

If I look at a squirrel I see that he wants to eat, wants to play, wants to make babies, wants to claim his territory, and then sleeps.  Most animals essentially follow this pattern. 

So I am a mammal.  And the Bible sets the pattern of us as flesh, eyes, pride.

Now the big word added is : lust
But is this a bad word? Not really.

ἐπιθυμία (greek) .. lust = yearning, longing, desire, craving

So once again, with this word 'lust' we are back to the basics of the mixed tree of good and evil.

Looking at the Scripture '1 John 2:16' again, we could say:

For all that is in THIS WORLD of human mammals, is the yearning, longing, desire, craving of the flesh human, and the yearning, longing, desire, craving of the human eyes, and the pride of life - is not of the Father cause God is beyond our understanding - but is of this current world or cosmos or human body of time that humans are stuck in.

The temptations of flesh eyes pride :

🔹️First backtrack to the Garden of Eden.
🔹️Then jump forward to Jesus(Joshua) after His baptism and He went into the wilderness to be tempted.
🔹️Then look in the mirror.

All three of these must fit together.

Think about it, the Jews didn't kill Jesus. He just allowed Rome to kill him - but remember, only because he let them.  But after that, it was the Jews killing the ones that were called "Christians".  It was later that they were called Christians, a term which could put them in a box. I Never Capitalize satan

The Bible is very clear that God made both good and that which is evil. God Himself is not evil, but he made the scenario - on purpose - that would let 'evil' manifest. "Thus G‑d created a world in which goodness and evil are equal options, and He created humanity with the freedom to choose."
