Why Blood ? Again
This bounces everywhere..
Blood still catches my mind. Out of the blue it will suddenly appear again with the question, "Why Blood? Why not do all this without blood?"
I'm going to post lots of random things here I will organize later.
First, What Is Blood?
"Blood is a body fluid in the circulatory system of humans and other vertebrates that delivers necessary substances such as nutrients and oxygen to the cells, and transports metabolic waste products away from those same cells."
In the Bible :
GoogleAI "blood is mentioned in many passages, including those that discuss the importance of blood for atonement, the blood of Jesus Christ, and the punishment of murder.
Blood for atonement
Leviticus 17:11: The blood of the flesh is the life of the flesh, and it atones for souls
Hebrews 9:22: Without shedding blood, there is no remission
Matthew 26:28: The blood of the covenant
Blood of Jesus Christ
1 John 5:6: Jesus Christ came by water and blood
Hebrews 9:12-14: Jesus entered the holy place by his own blood, obtaining eternal redemption
1 John 1:7: The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin
Luke 22:20: Jesus said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you”
Punishment of murder
Genesis 4:10: The blood of the murdered "crieth for vengeance"
Numbers 35:24, 27: The nearest relative of the murdered, the "avenger of blood", was required to avenge the death
Numbers 35:31: No satisfaction could be made for the guilt of murder"
1 Corinthians 11:26 "For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." Hmm.. Why his death and not his resurrection?
The Jews boo and hiss at this one, saying it is wrong as written : "Heb 9:22 - And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."
"In the New Testament book of Hebrews chapter 9:22 we read: “Without the shedding of blood there is no remission” When one reads this it is no wonder that Christian Evangelists and the Missionaries are so busy trying to convert the Jewish people who do not accept Jesus as Messiah or as divinity. If the Missionaries are correct we are in a deep problem. So it is incumbent upon us to examine the Hebrew Scriptures and see if Hebrews 9:22."
In fact in Leviticus 17:11 we find that blood is not to be eaten as G-d has given it upon the altar to make atonement for sin. In fact Hebrews 9:22 is said to be based on Leviticus 17:11. There is a problem for the missionaries, Leviticus doesn’t say that without shedding of blood there is no remission. To make matters even worse the book of Hebrews 10:4 then says: “It is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins” ?????? ????? (go figure) There you have two contradictions that the New Testament makes in commenting on our scriptures. "
https://judaismresources.net/2013/08/26/tsvi-jacobson-on-hebrews-922/
"Leviticus chapter 5.. Numbers 5:11.. Lamb, goat, pigeon, dove, flour.. and it further states: “IT IS A SIN OFFERING”". "David confesses his sin and is truly repentant and in 2 Samuel 12:13 Nathan says to David: “The L-rd has also put away your sin, you shall not die.” There was no blood atonement, not even two turtle doves, nor two pigeons, not even fine flour."
Ok.. the Jews should know. So I need to look at Hebrews 9:22 in proper context, not as a new doctrine.
I'll get back to that.
Here's one : "Ephesians 1:7–12 (KJV) - In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,". Also the same in Colossians 1:14.
Redemption = ἀπολύτρωσις = freedom, liberation.
So, we can have freedom through his blood. Hmm..
How? Forgiveness of our sins = freedom. Hmm..
Sin = selfish things. Versus, Loving God and loving others. Romans 13:8 ".. but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law".
So, why did we need blood for this? .. is the question.
I'm back to the beginning again. Why blood? We know that the life is in the blood. So if replace the word blood each time with the word 'life',, maybe this will help. Leviticus 17:11. Blood is a metaphor for 'life'..
"Colossians 1:14 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” .. or .. In whom we have freedom through his life, even the forgiveness of our selfishness.
Another angle of 'redeem' means to purchase back, ransom, or liberate someone or something from captivity, bondage, or debt. It can also mean to regain possession of something by paying its value back. ἀγοράζω
So.. Jesus' life is doing this.
Blood : αἷμᾰ • (haîmă) n (genitive αἵμᾰτος); third declension blood bloodshed; murder race; stock; kin, relationship by blood. https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki
ἀγοράζω = buy in the market
ἐξ (ex) — before a vowel.. to denote change from one place or condition to another
ἐξἀγοράζω "Gloss: (act.) to redeem, as a fig. extension of the act of purchasing something in the marketplace; (mid.) to make the most (of the time) Definition: to buy out, of the hands of a person; to redeem, set free, Gal. 3:13; 4:5; mid. to redeem, buy off, to secure for one's self or one's own use; to rescue from loss or misapplication, Eph. 5:16; Col. 4:5* Greek-English Concordance for ἐξαγοράζω " https://www.billmounce.com/greek-dictionary/exagorazo
Ok.. that's all the notes I have at the moment. Rest my brain and will start to look it over..
Had a thought... Back to the Garden of Eden.. Adam, had God's Life with him, at first..
Since with God it is always about Life, not really blood.
This may open a door for me..
Gen 1:3 "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."
So, God takes darkness - humans with no knowledge of God - and creates light, which is knowledge about God.. to know God exists and that God is the only God.
So, having Light may be connected to having God's Life. Light = Life ?
So, there will always be two constants : darkness, not part of God .. and Light, part of God.
Gen 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Now God is Spirit so this part of creation must have been in spirit form, unseen.
God then declared what they were to do. Their job description per se.
Then..
Gen 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
Here is appears that God then made a human body to put both the male and female spirit inside. (see Genesis 5:2)
Then God said it wasn't good to have it this way.. Just like it wasn't good for God to 'be alone'.
Of course God already knew all this.. but this was God unfolding God's Plan for Moses to write down.
A bit of insight on this is : "Gen 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created." THEIR NAME.. Adam. The two were one.
Just something to ponder.
Just a thought.. I'm allowed to be creative..
"Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Was this prophetic? Because Adam left his Father, God, and his Mother, also God or maybe the Garden, and left to cleave to his Wife outside the Garden of Eden. Hmm..
Now here is where Adam is pulled away from LIFE :
Gen 3:22 "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Gen 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
I'm going to pause.. I have the life is in the blood rolling around in my head..
Gen 3:21 "Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."
עָשָׂה is aˈsa which means to make, to create
This word is used multiple times when God made or created things. ie. All through the Creation story in Genesis 1 and 2. Also when God made Adam and then did 'make' Adam a Helpmeet.
All implications is that God made/created the tunics that God put on Adam and his Wife. (She was named Eve after this.)
Nothing says God killed an animal to make the tunics. ➡️ Blood is never mentioned. .. yet.
Blood is first mentioned here : "Gen 4:10 - And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.."
Blood cries from 'ground'. Hmm..
אֲדָמָה is adamá.. which means earth, soil, land.
Gen 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground.."
adamá .. Adam .. I'll look at this later..
“The Lord formed man (ADAM) from the dust of the earth (ADAMA) and He blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.”
There are 8.7 million species of animals. Most have blood. Adam had blood. All human mammals have blood. So blood did allow for life.
I'll jump forward. What happened with Abel? "Gen 4:3 - And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. 4:4 - And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
The firstlings must have been killed, prepared, and brought. No altar is mentioned.
"Cain becomes a farmer. As per the rules of exile, he is following God's commandment to work the cursed earth "by the sweat of his brow." Abel, however, becomes a keeper of sheep; he seems to be ignoring the rules of exile and trying to relate to God in the way his father did in the Garden of Eden, where Adam was given the task to be the keeper of the animals." aish.com/48908827/
Since everything of the 'fall' in the Garden had to do with loins, loin cloths, nakedness, and pain in child bearing (and later circumcision).. it appears that the act that the serpent did brought forth a baby.. Cain. Adam then took his Wife and there came forth a half twin, Abel.
Many Rabbis have taught this for years :
https://aish.com/63989432/ https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2022-09-02/ty-article-magazine/.highlight/the-serpent-is-the-messiahs-secret-the-key-to-rabbi-berlands-toxic-charisma/00000182-fe67-de92-a7d6-ff7f1ad90000. https://jwa.org/encyclopedia/article/eve-midrash-and-aggadah https://www.theyeshiva.net/jewish/item/9002/chassidus-derech-mitzvosecha-kohen-baal-mum-7-when-the-snake-had-intimacy-with-eve-the-evil-of-rape https://www.thetorah.com/article/cain-son-of-the-fallen-angel-samael
So, there is a Cain blood, and then there is Abel blood straight from AdamEve who were straight from God.
The point is.. there were twins, a pattern that flows throughout the Hebrew Testament. One Boy was like Adam before the fall and had God's favor. The other boy was like Adam after the curse and was told to imitate Abel and he would be accepted.
It turned out the second hated the first because of this.. a pattern that continues to this day.
So.. Adam blood came straight from God. So did Jesus' blood, the last Adam.
That was the beginning of blood.
Back to "Why blood?" I keep going on circles..
We could say Cain was bad blood. His lineage was bad blood. And had the daughters of men.
Abel Seth did was good blood. The Sons of God.
When the Sons of God started mingling with the daughters of bad blood, it all got bad. Noah was kept. The flood. And then everybody ended up with bad blood at some point.
So the question, could God put Himself inside a human that had bad blood, bad attitude, a hybrid human compared to Adam?
I'm pretending now : God saying, "I ain't getting inside those messes. For one, they don't know a thing about Me. "
By the time the Tower of Babel came along, humanity was just a bunch of brainiacs who made themselves gods. Bad blood wall to wall.
God then started with Abraham, made an Israel and spoke through Prophets to start teaching the basics that God chose to share. Like Moses and Aaron. Moses didn't get inside Aaron (ie. Pentecost) but Moses told Aaron what to say. But they were all bad blood. God used some by election and predestination - in spite of themselves.
Then arrived Jesus. Just like Adam, it was God Blood. Pure grade. Better than Texas T.
And that God Blood human would have the only God step inside Him.
So bad blood people, all of us, are focused on our earth existence, just like all mammals. Eat. Play. Shelter. Multiply. Sleep.
But when GodBlood's Ministry started, Elohim inside Jesus began to teach.
I'll stop there.. I'm getting closer.. but my Soul is still not satisfied.
God wanted us to spill and kill God's Blood. This still bewilders me.. I'm trying to bypass all cliches about this. I know I'm missing something very important about this. I know all the fundamentals. Creeds, quotes, drama, on and on.. but I feel like it is blocking something that will trigger that moment of revelation. It has to be simple and it's right in front of my nose.. God Loves to teach, so that keeps this exciting versus the frustration my brain juggles. Poor brain. My brain is truly my Cain.
In parts and pieces..
This is what I believe.. comma,

Only good blood gets into the Kingdom. "When you were on earth, did you have God Blood?" "No sir. "
Cliche'ish but good : "Do you have the identity of GodBlood put on your heart, cause you believe that was Me, the one God, inside Jesus? " "Yes sir.." .. hmm
"The blood of the animal was never to be treated as common food; it belonged to God, who is the giver of life (Genesis 2:7; Job 33:4; Psalm 139:13)." That's a good thought. https://www.gotquestions.org/life-is-in-the-blood.html
