When Did God Enter Jesus?
When did God enter Jesus?
I'm going to study this more.. but for now add some pieces :
Luke 2:40 "And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him."
Luke 3:21 "Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased."
If the Greek in checked, the Scripture does not say : "You are my beloved Son WHO I'm pleased with."
It says UPON and then IN.
So, just this one example seems to imply that SpiritGod entered Jesus the human at the time of Jesus' immersion in the River Jordan.
pause ...
So the one God, who is Spirit (for lack of a better word) entered the human homo sapien mammal named Yeshua, or God of Salvation.
Was God not in Jesus before that?
This is where theologians start name calling. If a person doesn't believe one of the versions of Constantine's "trinity", then that person is usually marked in one of the multiple versions of boxes they have theologically devised. It is nearly impossible to get them to discard the trinity thought process and start fresh.
Who was Jesus?
The Bible calls him the last Adam. The only other Adam mentioned must then be the first Adam. So the two must be alike.
1 Corinthians 15:45 "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit."
So we have two Adams. God created Adam One from the dust of the earth and breathed into him.
God created the last Adam from scratch in the womb of Mary. (He didn't use Mary's egg. Jesus had to be 100% from God.) Jesus was attached to Mary so that embryo was attached to her as it grew and ate from the foods Mary consumed from the dust of the earth. You might say, a different form of dust than the first Adam.
The breath of life from God made Adam One a "living soul".
The Last Adam was made a quickening spirit. When? After the Resurrection. He then returned as licks of fire and entered into the 120 in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost.
So where is the body of Jesus? Buried in GodSpirit somewhere. When God needs it, He'll produce it.
Buried in God? We bury people all the time and their bodies turn to dust and beyond. So God could easily turn the body of Jesus into any spiritual form He wants to.
Say it a 100 times : "Jesus was a human. Jesus was a human. Jesus was a human. Jesus..."
Jesus clearly said he couldn't do anything until the Father, in him, told him to do it.
John 5:19 "Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise."
Say it a 100 times : "Jesus can do nothing. Jesus can do nothing. Jesus can do nothing. Jesus..."
So, Jesus was human, and Jesus can do nothing.
So, God entered Jesus at the Jordan, and God left Jesus at the Garden/Calvary.
Are we much different than that? Not real Christians who have had the true New Birth. Because God entering a human is New Birth. Before that, they are simply saved, which is awesome in itself.
So, God entered Jesus at Jordan. ".. IN whom I'm pleased to dwell."
So, God entered other humans at Pentecost. "Christ in you, the hope of glory." Colossians 1:27
How are we different?
I look at it in modern terms :
GodSpirit is the master computer server, per se. Call that Father. Name that, Jesus.
Christians are like computers directly wired to the main server. Day of Pentecost.
So we are like 'part' of the 'master server'.
And the Master Server controls all the rest.
In the Kingdom of glorified human homo sapiens, Jesus will sit on the throne as the visible Master Server, and everyone else will function from that.
1Corinthians 15:28
"And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all."
That should cover it for now.
I'll add more later..
