Earth Wind Fire

Earth heard the wind and got the fire. 

Pentecost.

120 earthen vessels heard the wind in the upperroom and then received the fire of ElohimSpirit.  ACTS 2

It is amazing to think that this had never happened before.  

God had been WITH humans, but this time God went IN humans.

Not all humans. 

There are two groups of true believers in the Gentile Testament of the Bible :

1. Those who have God WITH them.

2. Those who have God IN them.

God has His reasons for this. Both are saved. Having God either way is beyond awesome.

Those 120 humans, earth vessels, in the Upper Room at Pentecost, were the example of what the Bible calls the Elect. Or, you might say they are specific billboards for a specific reason in God's sovereign Plan.

After Peter declared the Gospel in Acts 2, 3000 people were 'added' to the following. It never says earth wind and fire for those 3000, so we do not know much about their experience. But we can say from that moment that God was WITH each of them. Some of those 3000 may be Elect, or maybe wonderful saved. Others may have quit later. We don't know.  

So which is better, Elect or Saved? Neither. Both play the part of God's Script He has given them.

The Elect are all through the Hebrew Testament. Esther was Elect. Her people were Saved. Joseph in Egypt was Elect. His brothers were Saved. And onward..

The Gentile Testament: John the Baptist Elect. The 11 Disciples Elect in the good way. Judas in the bad way. Paul is Elect. And onward.. while multitudes benefitted by them and got Saved.

Step forward, one example : Martin Luther was Elect..

Thus, two groups. Understanding this makes the Scriptures make sense. It is a common error to put everyone in the same group - which forces Scriptures to be watered down or hybridized to fit this wrong idea.

So the Gospel is what happened in the Upper Room that day.  Earth Wind and Fire is the good news of that momentous moment of God's Plan. To believe that is accepting the Gospel. Calvary and Easter were what made It possible. Some will experience that Acts2 Upper Room, some will believe that it is truth. Both will be saved. 

WITH or IN. Both awesome.

Think about it, the Jews didn't kill Jesus. He just allowed Rome to kill him - but remember, only because he let them.  But after that, it was the Jews killing the ones that were called "Christians".  It was later that they were called Christians, a term which could put them in a box. The Bible is very clear that God made both good and that which is evil. God Himself is not evil, but he made the scenario - on purpose - that would let 'evil' manifest.
